Sepenting apa vaksin influenza untuk kesehatan? Bagi sebagian besar orang, influenza kerap kali dianggap sepele. Bahkan banyak yang mengabaikannya sehingga tetap bekerja; berinteraksi dengan banyak orang.

Menurut Prof. Samsuridjal Djauzi, Satgas Imunisasi Dewasa PAPDI, seharusnya setiap orang, terutama pasien Diabetes dan lansia melakukan vaksin influenza. Vaksin ini menjadi benteng pelndung agar tidak mudah terserang influenza.

Pernyataan tersebut disampaikan pada acara Konferensi Pers-World Immunization Week, 11 Mei 2023. Dalam rangka World Immunization Week (Pekan Imunisasi Dunia) tahun 2023 tersebut, Dinas Kesehatan DKI Jakarta didukung Kalventis dan Satgas Imunisasi Dewasa PB PAPDI memberikan vaksinasi influenza kepada lebih dari 600 tenaga kesehatan. Adapun pemberian vaksin influenza untuk tenaga kesehatan diselenggarakan di RSUD Pasar Minggu, Jakarta Selatan.

Kemitraan yang terjalin ini menjadi salah satu langkah dalam menjaga dan melindungi orang-orang berisiko tinggi, dalam kondisi ini adalah tenaga kesehatan yang berinteraksi langsung dengan pasien.

Jenis Vaksin Influenza Kuadrivalen untuk Lansia, Penderita Diabetes, dan Tenaga Kesehatan

Hasil riset Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) di Jakarta Timur, Indonesia,  memaparkan sekitar 31% kasus Influenza Like Illnes. Influencer dan 15% kasus Severe Acute Respiratory Infection. Selain beban penyakit, beban ekonomi dari biaya rawat inap serta rawat jalan (direct cost) juga tinggi, mencapai 1.396 triliun di Indonesia. WHO menyatakan, vaksinasi merupakan cara yang paling efektif untuk mencegah penyakit infeksi influenza.

Vaksin influenza kuadrivalen tahunan sangat penting, terutama bagi kelompok rentan, di antaranya tenaga kesehatan yang berinteraksi langsung dengan pasien karena risiko tertular lebih tinggi. Risiko tenaga kesehatan menularkan influenza ke pasien rentan.

Selain tenaga kesehatan, kelompok lain yang rentan adalah penderita diabetes. Mereka mempunyai gangguan sistem kekebalan tubuh sehingga lebih mudah terkena infeksi influenza yang berat.
